A remastered version of the classic Metroid Prime was released on the Nintendo Switch late last month, allowing players to take control of famed bounty hunter Samus Aran as she thwarts the evil Space Pirates and their twisted experiments on the ruined world of Tallon IV. Metroid Prime Remastered features all of the first-person shooting and puzzle-solving gameplay of the original, albeit with improved graphics and an updated Switch control scheme.
As dedicated fans of Metroid Prime Remastered and the many Metroid games will attest, Samus Aran is no ordinary human. Aside from the many gadgets and weapons included in her famous Power Suit armor, she has incredible athletic and martial arts skills thanks to the Chozen, the bird-like aliens that raised her after her parents were killed by Metroid Prime Remastered's monstrous Ridley. As part of this training, the Chozen altered young Samus’s DNA. This allows her to pull off feats that would normally be impossible, such as contorting her body into her signature Morph Ball.

However, there are still some aspects to Samus’s Power Suit that confuse Metroid Prime Remastered fans — as noted by freelance gaming journalist Chris Sutcliffe. In a post from Reddit user mqee on r/Metroid, these fans are currently debating how Samus' arms are able to fit inside her Power Suit's massive shoulder pauldrons — and are even posting diagrams demonstrating how she would need to severely dislocate her arms to make it work.
