New World doesn’t have a new date for the Fellowship & Fire season update, but there is a new lore devblog that introduces pivotal character Grace O’Malley and the Silver Crows.
The first of the new seasonal updates was supposed to be released today before a significant issue came up. The team assured the community that they’re working to get the update ready ASAP, so catching up on some lore before you get into the content isn’t a bad option.
Grace O’Malley is central to the new story content in the update. She’ll put together a mercenary team called the Silver Crows. The blog introduces Grace and other members of the Silver Crows, from their bio and origins, their roles, and even details about their likes, dislikes, and personality traits.
Grace herself was born into nobility and is officially co-captain of the Silver Crows. She “joined her family in taking a “fair share” of profits from fat merchant ships unwise enough to traverse their coastline” until one day, she ambitiously pursued a galley into a storm and got into a shipwreck on Aeternum.
Zander “The Undying” Gataki is one of the Crows, and in contrast to Grace, he grew up as an orphan in Greece. Zander was later betrayed by a man he had helped, and sold into slavery. After a ship disaster of his own, he washed up in Aeternum. Now he’s with the Silver Crows and also loves to bake, especially lemon cakes.
Dog is another member of the crew. Being a lynx kitten, his name is a little misleading, but he too was saved and adopted into the Crows.
Then there’s Skye. She’s their client and needs some help with a tough situation. She's hundreds of years old and from the Scottish Highlands, having arrived in Aeternum after her own tragic incident. “A Varangian
