’s OLED Nintendo Switch model was announced along with a demonstration featuring around 10 minutes of gameplay of the anticipated title. It is common for Nintendo to release thematic console models of high-profile games, such as the Switch OLED edition. This time around, the new Zelda game will receive its own thematic console, which fans will be able to acquire even before the game’s release.
The OLED Switch features golden-colored Joy-Cons with a few -like elements imprinted on them. The back part of the console also has a pattern, as does the dock station for charging and playing on the TV, which showcases the Hylian Crest. The product follows the game’s main aesthetic, from symbols and patterns to color palette.
As mentioned previously, the OLED Nintendo Switch will be released on April 28, 2023, before the game itself. Meanwhile, the actual game arrives only on May 12. Nintendo also announced a themed Pro Controller and a Carrying Case for, both of which will be released along with the game on May 12.
The OLED Switch edition comes with a thematic model of the console itself, a pair of themed Joy-Cons, special Joy-Con straps, a Joy-Con grip, the thematic Switch dock, and the necessary cables for making the dock work. As mentioned on Nintendo’s official website, the game is sold separately. This means that customers who want to play on the themed console will need to buy the title as well, as it is not included in the bundle. They will also have to wait since the game comes out a few days after the console reaches stores.
