Pokemon Stadium Is Coming To Nintendo Switch Online On April 12
Nintendo is finally adding one of the most beloved Pokemon games on the N64 to its Nintendo Switch Online lineup later this month, as it's been announced that Pokemon Stadium will be available to play for subscribers on April 12. Be aware that only those with the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack are able to play N64 games as part of the service, so if you want to jump into a few rounds of Pokemon Stadium, you'll need to upgrade.
Nintendo announced Pokemon Stadium's addition via a new trailer on the official Nintendo of America YouTube trailer, and it's sure to send a wave of nostalgia over anyone that grew up with an N64. All of the original game's features such as the cup competitions, Gym Leader Castle and legendary minigames are there for you to jump into once again, but the Nintendo Switch Online version also comes with 4-player online battles so you can duke it out with your friends or family.

Unfortunately, if you were hoping you could transfer some of your faithful 'mons from either Sword & Shield or Scarlet & Violet to help you out in Pokemon Stadium, then you're out of luck. It's already been confirmed that Pokemon Stadium on Nintendo Switch will not support transfers, but a little disclaimer in the trailer has made it doubly clear that the feature won't work.
Pokemon fans will be hoping that this isn't the last Pokemon games that will be added as part of Nintendo's retro offerings. Not only is there Pokemon Stadium 2 I'm sure many will be hoping will make the leap, but the recently released Game Boy and Game Boy Advance emulators has fans of the series crossing their fingers that some of the classic titles like Emerald, FireRed & LeafGreen,
