Pokemon Horizons Opening Scene Leaks Online

Pokemon fans around the world have been eagerly anticipating the release of the newest anime, Pokemon Horizons. With the premiere date just a few days away, excitement has been building and a recent sneak peek has only served to fuel the hype.

The opening scene of the first episode, The Pendant of Beginnings, was recently released online ahead of its official April 14, 2023 premiere on TV Tokyo. The clip was shared on Twitter by a user known as Anipoke_PR. This gives fans of the show a glimpse of the upcoming setting for the new series, the Paldea region.

Pokemon Horizons will follow two brand new protagonists, Liko and Roy. These characters will of course be replacing the ever popular Ash and Pikachu, the faces of Pokemon for the past 25 years and counting. The upcoming series promises to take fans on an exciting journey through Paldea, showcasing the diverse environments and creatures that make up the world of Pokemon.

The Pendant of Beginnings will center around Liko, a young girl who has just received her very first Pokemon, Sprigatito. Liko is however struggling to bond with her new partner and things only get more complicated when mysterious figures start pursuing her in search of a valuable pendant, presumably the eponymous Pendant of Beginnings.

In addition to Liko and Roy, fans can expect to meet a host of new characters in Pokemon Horizons, the main ones to look out for being the Rising Volt Tacklers led by Friede and Captain Pikachu. This group travels around Paldea on an airship accompanied by Orla and her partner Pokemon, Metagross.
