DC Universe Online Episode 45, Shock to the System, Launches Tomorrow

DC Universe Online is getting Episode 45: Shock to the System tomorrow, April 13th. The new episode name was revealed as part of DCUO’s roadmap back in January, but now there’s more info on some of what to expect.

Recently-revealed key art for the new episode ( as shared by CBR ) features Static and Rocket, with the Static Shock animated series villain Ebon in the background. Bringing another tale of heroes and villains to play through, the episode premise is officially described in this way:

“Dakota City's just built different. The Big Bang attack that created new heroes, villains, and victims has drawn sinister, otherworldly attention. Ebon's powers cast a long shadow, but it's the Apokoliptian Parademons that has Static shocked enough to contact you. Why are people disappearing, why has Apokolips turned its attention to Dakota City, and will you be able to take on such a shadowy threat?”

We canexpect similar content to previous updates like a new alert, a raid, new Duos, and a number of key characters involved in the storyline. 

DCUO is also cleaning house once more, with characters on inactive accounts set to lose their names next month. Those names will be up for grabs by active players for new or renamed characters. This will start happening on or around May 11th, and the Dimensional Ink team is announcing this move now to give anyone interested a chance to log in and make your account active so you can keep all character names.

This will be the process for inactive character names beginning next month:

If you log into your account at all before May 11th,  you won’t lose your characters’ names.
