Activision has launched Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Season 3.
To coincide with the new season going live, Infinity Ward has released the patch notes for the latest game updates, which we’ve republished in full below.
Headlining Warzone 2’s update are changes to the battle royale game’s pacing, combat and movement.
Resurgence, a streamlined spin-off of the regular battle royale with respawns enabled, makes its Al Mazrah debut in the form of Massive Resurgence, which is a much larger version of the mode.
Al Mazrah has a new 1v1 Gulag called Blacksite too, while Ashika Island has been updated with a cargo ship and several submarines now located outside of Port.
On the multiplayer front, Season 3 includes the return of the 2v2 Gunfight mode with four maps at launch, and Cranked, a fast-paced Deathmatch mode where players race against the clock to get kills or suffer an explosive fate.
There are also two new core 6v6 maps (Pelayo’s Lighthouse and Black Gold) and two new battle maps for Ground War and Invasion (Rohan Oil and Sattiq Cave Complex).
A full list of Season 3’s new features, plus a rundown of the latest weapon tuning and bug fixes, follows:
