A few months ago, Danish CS:GO player Luksusbums, skin collector, and co-founder of skinbid.com, put up his Case Hardened AK-47 skin for sale. One of the most expensive skins in the world, the "661 ST MW 4xTT holo" had a sale price so large that it required the listing site to raise its price cap to accommodate $447,000.
Selling a digital cosmetic for a house's price meant it took a few months, but Luksusbums eventually found a buyer. As reported by Dexerto, the Case Hardened AK-47 skin has now been sold as part of a bundled purchase for over $500,000.

Much like how lawyers offer their services as brokers when someone sells their home, fellow Danish CS:GO player and high-stakes trader zipeL facilitated the trade with the anonymous buyer. In addition to the Case Hardened AK-47 skin, the sale also included the Karambit Case Hardened Blue Gem, the very same knife as the $1.5 million Karambit which is the most expensive skin in CS:GO history, Luksusbums's Karambit is "Well Worn" as opposed to "Factory New," so it was only worth a mere $100,000.
"I just completed the second-largest trade in CS history!" zipeL wrote on Twitter. "To all those nerds that said come back to me when the AK sells for 400k you are delusional zipeL, hello bitches."
Expensive CS:GO skins are nothing new to the game, where single-month transactions can top $100 million. However, most of those skins are priced in the hundreds of dollars, with relatively few reaching the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
