In Blizzard's recent Diablo IV Developer Endgame Update, everything from endgame systems to class tuning was discussed — and one of the best pieces of news came in the form of the Beta learnings and community feedback. Having heard the overwhelming voice of the community on the state of Dungeons, Blizzard made several sweeping changes, including redesigning some dungeon layouts entirely! Blizzard recognized community feedback stating that backtracking along the same path isn't fun or engaging, and would lead to players becoming frustrated or bored with the dungeon experience. Not only that, Blizzard also took a look at several different objectives within these dungeons, and added several quality of life changes — such as during the Kill All Monsters style objectives, in which straggler monsters will now chase you down instead of having the player backtrack to find that last Fallen hiding in a corner. Before and After: Layout of the Kor Dragan Barracks dungeon.
It's clear that Blizzard has used the information and feedback gathered from the Early Access and Open Beta weekends wisely — having rolled these changes out to dungeons in every zone, including the Fractured Peaks, Blizzard has proven that they truly do care about how players enjoy their games. We'll be able to see these changes for ourselves soon enough — in a surprise announcement during the Developer Endgame Update, Blizzard announced a Diablo IV Server Slam Weekend from May 12 — 14, meaning we'll once again be diving into the world of Sanctuary for a Beta weekend before launch! This new weekend comes with a new exclusive Beta reward, so don't miss out
