Six years on from the launch of Breath of the Wild, it's still a modern miracle that Nintendo was able to fit the game on a single card. Now Tears of the Kingdom is almost here and Nintendo is back to try and better that miracle. While its file size will definitely be bigger than Breath of the Wild's, there's now some confusion over how much room you'll need on your console as different Nintendo sites are displaying varying sizes.
We previously reported that at more than 18GB, Tears of the Kingdom will be the biggest Switch game to date, taking the crown from Bayonetta 3 which clocks in at 16GB. Hold your Hylian horses for just a second, though. GoNintendo has highlighted the Japanese listing for Tears of the Kingdom reads a little differently. According to that, the sequel will also be 16GB, tying the latest Bayonetta game for the crown rather than beating it.

With a little more than two weeks to go, the file sizes still differ on both sites. In fact, just to muddy the Zelda waters even further, having checked the UK site I can confirm it has a file size for Tears of the Kingdom that differs from both the US and Japan. While Japan's listing has it at 16GB and the US claims the next Zelda game will be 18.2GB, according to the UK's site, Tears of the Kingdom will be more than 18.6GB.
Those of you who don't do your gaming with Nintendo will be reading this and either scoffing or having your jaw hit the floor.
