The sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, one of the best Star Wars games ever, is set to continue the story of Cal Kestis five years after the events of the first game. The new game massively expands upon the gameplay and story of its predecessor, with a massive open world for players to explore and plenty of new content to lose yourself in. But how long exactly does Star Wars Jedi: Survivor take to beat?
Fallen Order takes about 20 hours from start to finish, and longer (around about 30 hours to be specific) if you’re a completionist. So we’re probably looking at something in the same ballpark as that for Survivor, right?
Well actually; a lot of content has been added, and the game has generally been expanded upon. As mentioned previously, it is now more open-world and allows for players to take their time exploring. In an interview with Dexerto, Stig Asmussen, the game’s director, also stated that new mechanics could affect playtime. Fast travel options could allow players to get through the game quicker. However, as the open world planets are bigger than Fallen Order’s, players may find the experience lasting longer simply due to the fact that the scale of the open worlds has increased. It will definitely be something you don’t want to rush.
Other additions, such as puzzle-focused Jedi Meditation Chambers, may bulk the experience out a bit as well. These are optional puzzle rooms that offer more world-building, as well as some perks and collectibles that can affect Cal’s abilities. There is also a substantial side mission in which Cal has to track down various bounty hunters scattered across the galaxy that has the potential to eat up a bunch of hours.
