Dungeons and Dragons just revealed a collection of official stat blocks inspired by some of the most iconic creatures from Minecraft. These new Dungeons and Dragons monsters can be downloaded from D&D Beyond for free right now.

The first D&D Direct of 2023 recently revealed some exciting developments for the future of Dungeons and Dragons. The stream showed off the official virtual tabletop, crossovers with the Honor Among Thieves movie, and a sneak peek at the new D&D sourcebooks dropping over the next several years.

One of the most unexpected parts of the stream was a collaboration betweenDungeons and Dragons and Minecraft. This hilarious crossover includes five iconic mobs from Minecraft as stat blocks in D&D. Using this Monstrous Compendium, players can throw blazes, creepers, wolves, endermen, or ender dragons into their Dungeons and Dragons campaigns. These fantastic mobs even have some new sketch-like art Minecraft fans will appreciate.

The stat blocks themselves are quite unique, and would make a great addition to the monstrous repertoire of any dungeon master. While the wolf and blaze are similar to the wolf and fire elemental stat blocks from the Monster Manual respectively, others have unique mechanics. The creeper in particular is especially noteworthy in that it has no actions. Rather than actually attacking on its turn, it stops, hisses, and explodes on its next one. There are even rules for some Minecraft items in the compendium, including a Blaze Rod and an Ender Pearl.
