Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 To Include First Two Games, VR Missions
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is setting out to be a rather comprehensive collection, as it will feature the very first two entries in the series and some unexpected additional content that was not part of the original release of the original Metal Gear Solid.
Following the collection's announcement during yesterday's PlayStation Showcase, Konami confirmed some additional details on it, revealing that Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake will be included in the collection. While the first game hasn't aged that well, though it still has a certain charm, the second is a much better game, essentially a top-down version of the experience later seen in Metal Gear Solid, so its inclusion is extremely welcome.
The first entry in the series to make the jump to 3D graphics, the aforementioned Metal Gear Solid, will also feature some additional content that was only featured in the Integral release, the excellent VR Missions. The second and third entries in the series included in the Master Collection will be the same ones seen in the HD Collection, with only minimal edits to copyrighted content.
The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 isn't the only game that fans of the series have to look forward to, as the third entry in the series is getting remade as Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater. The remake will see the return of the original cast, including David Hayter as Snake, and will offer unprecedented visuals which will look considerably better than the original's.
The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 launches this Autumn on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S worldwide. A precise release date has yet to be confirmed.
