While it’s currently one of the best contemporary ways to experience the first three titles, Konami’sMetal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 has its fair share of issues. It will address missing Codec/radio voice data and “unnatural” keyboard controls on PC in a future update, but in the meantime, Ver.1.5.0 is out now on Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch.
The update is already available for PS5, PS4 and Steam and adds several noteworthy fixes, like for instances where certain cutscenes stop playing or when analog input doesn’t work as intended. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty also gets a pause menu on PC for resetting the game, returning to the main menu, adjusting audio and screen settings, and more.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater also gets various Additional Settings in its Options menu on PC, allowing players to adjust the audio, screen options, mouse sensitivity and more. The update also fixes an issue with some low-resolution character textures.
The development team is investigating an issue where audio distortions occur on the Nintendo Switch, so stay tuned for further updates and check out the full Ver.1.5.0 notes below.
