The main threat in is Venom, who is brought to life by the horror icon Tony Todd's truly menacing performance. The Venom symbiote had been teased in the post-credit scenes for both of the series' previous entries as a potential cure for Harry Osborn's illness.
Harry has been released from his treatment by the time the game's story begins, and claims to be cured as a result, wanting to use the symbiote to "." Unfortunately, somewhere this plan inevitably takes a turn for the worst as Peter bonds with the symbiote and abandons it upon realizing how much it is corrupting him, forcing it to bond with Harry once again to create the monstrous Venom.
