Square Enix Releases Final Fantasy VII Remake Story Recap Narrated by Red XIII
With Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth’s release date fast approaching, Square Enix has dropped a new video recapping the story of Final Fantasy VII: Remake.
Narrated by Max Mittelman, the voice actor of fan-favorite Red XIII, the five minute recap touches on the game’s most pivotal events through Red’s perspective. The events covered include the bombing of the Sector 1 reactor by AVALANCHE, Cloud’s interactions with Tifa & Aerith, and others. Red also spends some time explaining the mysterious Arbiters of Fate and how they relate to Sephiroth. Curiously, the events of FF7R INTERmission, included in FFVII Remake Intergrade, aren’t covered in this video.
Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, which releases on February 29, 2024 on the PlayStation 5, is the sequel to 2020’s Final Fantasy VII: Remake and serves as the second part of a trilogy of follow-up games to the original PlayStation RPG, Final Fantasy VII. Taking place immediately after the events of FF7R, Rebirth sees Cloud and the rest of the AVALANCHE crew take on the Shinra Corporation, with the aims of sabotaging its efforts to harvest the planet’s Lifestream for energy. Cloud must also contend with Sephiroth, who’s plans this time around are a bit less clear.
