The Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch system first launched as a limited-time item for the 35th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. franchise and was supposedly discontinued. Even so, Amazon kept it listed for occasional restocks. Now it's back on sale.
You can get the Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch for $42, down from $50:
The Super Mario Bros. Game & Watch is an updated version of the Game & Watch console, featuring the Super Mario Bros. game in full. It enhances the original design with a D-pad so that you can easily control your movements, whether it's leaping between blocks or plopping on top of a Goomba. Once you're done with the original game, you can challenge yourself with the extra content in Super Mario Bros: The Lost Levels or play a Mario version of Game & Watch: Ball. You can even use the console as a clock when it's idle.
The Legend of Zelda Game & Watch launched about a year after the Mario one. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the same discount. Despite these being discontinued, they occasionally pop back up at major retailers throughout the year.
Mario collectibles aren't the only Ninten-deals, though. Be sure to check our list of Nintendo Switch deals and other roundups ahead of gift-giving season.
