Bethesda teased its “biggest Starfield update yet” on its X/Twitter page today. This major patch, likely the largest of many released by the studio and publisher already, addresses “over 100 fixes and improvements.”
The full details of the Starfield patch aren’t shared yet, but the X/Twitter thread give a small sampling of what’s to come. The thread specifically calls out “a multitude of fixes to Quests,” as well as some to Eye of the Storm preventing players from progressing.
More importantly to some players are a slew of visual and performance updates. One tweet shows a preview of the latter, with deepened shadows and highlights on a character, as well as improved textures (though these are notably in the character creator).

This is only a preview for now; according to the thread, the rollout will be gradual when it starts on January 17th. The update will first go live on Steam Beta, along with a full list of updates and fixes. Other platforms and consoles, such as Xbox Gaming’s PC and Xbox players, will follow.
