Call of Duty announced the Covert Exfil feature just two days ago alongside the reveal of the rest of Season 1 Reloaded's content. Following its announcement, many Warzone fans expressed their disapproval of the Covert Exfil feature, claiming that it defeated the purpose of Warzone's cutthroat atmosphere. The feature would have allowed up to five teams to purchase a Covert Exfil and leave the match early, awarding them a win in the new Covert Exfil leaderboard section. It seems that Warzone's main development studio, Raven Software, has listened to this feedback and is restructuring its plans for the feature.
Raven Software explained that the Covert Exfil feature will not launch with Call of Duty's Season 1 Reloaded update due to fan feedback. Instead, the feature will be implemented in a future mode centered around the new Covert Exfil and Weapon Case features. The Weapon Case feature, also originally intended to launch with Season 1 Reloaded, will be held back as well until this new mode launches.
