SMITE 2 has officially been announced by Titan Forge Games, 10 years after the release of the original SMITE. The sequel will be running in Unreal Engine 5. There will be an alpha for the game later this year, and you can register for it on the official SMITE 2 website. The reveal trailer shows how the game looks when running in Unreal Engine 5.
SMITE 2 looks like it will carry over all the gods from the original SMITE, transporting them to the updated action MOBA. The gameplay will also retain the 5v5 mode and simplicity to jump into. Both auto build and auto levelling will make progression simpler for those who just want to jump into the action, though those who want depth to builds will find it in the game too. It has also been confirmed that SMITE 2 will run on Steam Deck, and has been built around both keyboard and mouse input as well as controller input, allowing players from all platforms to get to grips with the game with their preferred set up. SMITE 2 will have cross progression and cross save too.
SMITE 2 will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The game can be wishlisted on all platforms.
