Experiencing what it would be like to be a student at the magical school and be sorted into one of the four houses of Hogwarts has given players a chance to experiment with roleplaying and led to surprising results.
was officially released on February 10, 2023, and to celebrate its first anniversary, the account on X, formerly known as Twitter, shared some statistics on how things have been going. Most notably, this includes showing the statistics of which houses players have commonly been sorted into. While Ravenclaw's low 17% is certainly a surprise, it is equally surprising that Slytherin tops the list at 30%, just behind Gryffindor's 29%.
Dark wizards in the magical world of fame typically have been sorted into Slytherin during their stay at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. There have been others who came from other houses, with the only exception being that Hufflepuff has no known alumni who became dark wizards. The traits that Slytherin students hold can often lead them down a dark and dangerous path.
Simply belonging to the Slytherin house does not necessarily mean that a student is going to be a dark wizard, although it is true that dark wizards historically have belonged to that classification.
