2K Games and Hangar 13 Games have yet to announce the next title in the Mafia series, reportedly a prequel. In the meantime, it seems Mafia: Definitive Edition, a remake of the first game, is allegedly coming to Game Pass in August.
Insider Nate The Hate casually revealed this information on ResetEra – his follow-up reaffirmed that it is indeed the Definitive Edition. Whether it’s in the first or second wave of new additions is unknown. Released in 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC, the remake is about Tommy Angelo, who comes to Los Heaven to pursue the American dream. He quickly goes from cab driver to mobster for the Salieri family.
Though it features the same story, Mafia: Definitive Edition expands on things further. It also introduces new features like motorcycles and Free Ride mode. While the gameplay takes cues from Mafia 3, old-school fans can engage with Classic Difficulty for an experience more akin to the original.
