Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) as well as an Apple insider, have recently had a Twitter conversation that began speculations around the fate of iPhone 14 launch. Ming-Chi Kuo posted on Twitter regarding the situation around Apple’s suppliers in China who are struggling to reopen amid the COVID-19 restrictions, resulting in a delay for Apple’s iPhone 14 development timeline. He tweeted, “My latest channel checks suggest that Apple has not changed the shipping plan for the iPhone 14 models since the Shanghai lockdown. iPhone 14 Max is running behind, but it's still under control currently, and suppliers can work overtime to catch up with the schedule”.
Young replied to his tweet and said, “Actually, iPhone 14 Max panel shipments have always been behind. Not sure why. Perhaps they have modest volume targets for this one”. This new information has given rise to the speculation that the iPhone 14 might witness a split release. Also read: iPhone 14
