Kumail Nanjiani's Eternals character Kingo is referenced in new Loki season 2 set photos. Tom Hiddleston's beloved god of mischief appeared to finally meet his end in Avengers: Infinity War. However, Loki returned thanks to the Avengers' time travel mishaps in Avengers: Endgame, allowing Marvel Studios to give him a solo Disney+ series. The first season of Loki followed this variant of Tom Hiddleston's trickster as he worked with the Time Variance Authority to stop a female version of himself, Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino). Marvel Studios knew that Loki would be a hit and that there was room to do more, which is why the season 1 finale included confirmation that a second season was already happening. The announcement of Loki season 2 means that the show will have another opportunity to explore the multiverse and make surprising MCU and Marvel comics connections in the process. Early set photos from Loki season 2 already revealed that an obscure villain known as Zaniac will be referenced. After getting everything from Thorg to Thanos' chopper in the first season, many are looking forward to seeing what Easter eggs are coming next.
