New Loki season 2 set photos reveal Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie is now working at a 1970s McDonald's within the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s multiverse. Loki season 1saw Time Variance Authority (TVA) analyst Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) recruit Tom Hiddleston’s titular, albeit displaced trickster to help catch a particularly dangerous variant of himself. Episode 2 revealed that character to be Di Martino’s God of Mischief, Sylvie.
Having been arrested and her timeline reset by the TVA as a child, Sylvie dedicated her entire life to destroying the not-so-benevolent, variant-staffed TVA—a goal Loki adopted after falling for his female variant. Ultimately, this mission led the narcissistic couple to the man behind the TVA’s curtain, He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors). Following Sylvie's decision to kill He Who Remains, unleash multiple variants of Kang the Conqueror, and liberate the timeline, the finale’s post-credits scene confirmed the series would return for a second season. While season 1’s cliffhanger saw Loki staring at a statue of Kang alongside a Mobius and Hunter B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) with no memory of him, it’s unclear how characters like Ravonna Renslayer and Sylvie will be brought back into the fold. Loki season 2 began filming last month in the UK, and photos from the set have been making their way online.
