New Loki season 2 set photos see Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson dressed and ready for work with the Time Variance Authority. Disney+’s Loki follows a variant version of the God of Mischief who stole the Tesseract during the events of Avengers: Endgame. Season 1 saw Hiddleston’s character arrested by the Time Variance Authority (TVA), a seemingly bureaucratic organization tasked with dictating the “proper” follow of time. Rather than be pruned, Loki is recruited by Agent Mobius M. Mobius (Wilson) to help catch a Goddess of Mischief, Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino). Along the way, though, he discovers the TVA’s true purpose and inadvertently liberates the multiverse.
After Sylvie plunged her dagger into the TVA’s mastermind He Who Remains (Jonathan Majors)—a variant of the comic book character Kang the Conqueror—the post-credits scene in Loki’s finale confirmed the series would be back for a second season. Hiddleston, Wilson, Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku’s Hunter B-15, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ravonna Renslayer are all expected to return for six more episodes. Moon Knight’s Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead will take over directorial duties from Kate Herron with Eric Martin replacing Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness scribe Michael Waldron as head writer.Loki season 2 began filming last month in the UK, and photos from the set continue to make their way online.
