Warning: Spoilers ahead for Task Force Z #10
In the latest issue of Task Force Z,Red Hood gets a new, hilarious outfit but it has tragic undertones. Jason Todd is forced to fight Mr. Bloom in just a Red Hood shirt, underwear, and his socks. When in a combat context, though, this outfit looks strikingly similar to Jason's first Robin uniform.
Jason Todd is famous for being the first Robin to die—and for being the Robin whose death still has the most ramifications across the Batman comics. After being beaten with a crowbar by the Joker and blown up in a warehouse, Jason Todd stayed dead for over 15 years before dramatically returning to Gotham as the crime lord Red Hood. Though Jason has mostly reconciled with Batman and the Bat-Family, he has been at odds with them in Task Force Z, where he (quite appropriately) leads a team of once-dead supervillains. Red Hood, allied now with Two-Face, might be getting too deep into a case, just as he once did as Robin.

In Task Force Z #10 by Matthew Rosenberg, Eddy Barrows, Eber Ferreira, Adriano Lucas, and Rob Leigh, Mr. Bloom—a former and now-rogue Task Force Z member—ambushes Red Hood and his team mid-sleep. Jason only has time to pull on a Red Hood-branded shirt over his boxers, and he's still wearing socks. Meanwhile, flashbacks reveal Red Hood's desire to avenge Alfred Pennyworth's death pushed Harvey Dent to create a new Bane out of the former hero, Gotham. Back in the fight scene, Jason is shown mid-combat, wearing short-shorts and socks.
While Red Hood fighting supervillains in his underwear is hilarious, it's difficult not to notice the Robin-like undertones to this outfit. The short pants are a dead giveaway, as
