The often under-used member of the Bat-Family 'Batwing' is now putting together his own version of the Suicide Squad. In doing so, he is following a similar path as fellow Bat-Family member Red Hood, who is currently leading the zombified Task Force Z. But Batwing’s team already seems a bit less dysfunctional than Jason’s squad.
Batwing is the superhero alias of Luke Fox, one of longtime Batman ally Lucius Fox’s sons. Luke is the second Batwing, having taken over the role from David Zavimbe, but he was personally approved for the role by Batman himself, and has been a valued member of the Bat-Family ever since taking up the mantle. Members of the Bat-Family don’t necessarily have to physically fight crime in a costume however, as Oracle has shown, and many non-vigilantes like Luke’s father are considered to be part of the group. It seems that Luke is stepping away from his Batwing mantle now and using his talents to help fight crime in a different way.

In Harley Quinn #18 by Stephanie Philips and Georges Duarte, Luke recruits Harley to a new team that he is putting together named Task Force XX. The team is similar to the Suicide Squad in that it is composed of supervillains and the missions it is undertaking are extremely dangerous, but it also differs in some important ways. Most importantly, the members aren’t motivated by bombs in their head but are instead paid for their service. In addition, the team isn’t meant to be explicitly a tool for the US government but is instead meant to fill some of the gaps left by the loss of the Justice League in Dark Crisis and to try to address problems superheroes often
