Looking back at 2023, it’s fair to say that Lies of P ranked as one of the year’s best games (which is saying a lot, given how packed that year was), and the widespread acclaim that the Soulslike action RPG received from critics and audiences alike continues to be reflected in how many players it’s continuing to attract.
Taking to Twitter, developer Neowiz has announced that Lies of P has surpassed 7 million players since its launch across all platforms. It has managed to hit that figure in half a year, having launched a little over halfway through September last year. It’s worth pointing out, of course, that Lies of P is also available via Game Pass, which means its sales will be lower than its player count.
This is the first update Neowiz has provided on Lies of P’s player numbers in some time. In October, the developer announced that the game had sold over 1 million units in its first month.
Neowiz is currently working on paid DLC for Lies of P, while a sequel is also in the works. As per job ads, the sequel will be built on Unreal Engine 5.
Lies of P is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read our review of the game through here.
