Global Dragon's Dogma 2 sales have surpassed 2.5 million units across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Publisher Capcom announced the news through an official press release on its Japanese investor page just now. With Dragon's Dogma 2 sales topping 2.5 million copies, cumulative sales for the franchise have surpassed 10 million units across all platforms. Capcom released the long-overdue sequel last month on March 22. This means that the title managed to sell 2.5 million units in less than two weeks.
"Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that worldwide sales of Dragon’s Dogma 2 surpassed 2.5 million units", the press release reads. "The Dragon’s Dogma series consists of action games in a fantasy setting where players adventure in an expansive open world of swords and magic. Since the release of the first game in 2012, the series garnered praise worldwide for gameplay features such as its "pawn" adventure companions who can carry out actions on their own, leading the series to exceed 10 million units sold cumulatively."
Since the game's launch, modders have been hard at work to release interesting mods for PC players, including stamina mods, camera mods, ray tracing mods, and much more. Last week, Capcom released a title update for the game, improving DLSS quality, fixing bugs, and more.
