Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's Indigo Disk DLC is finally here, bringing with it your climactic rematch with rival Kieran. Having already beaten him once in the Teal Mask DLC, Kieran skulked off to who knows where to power himself up for Indigo Disk, and he's back with a much improved team and ready for some revenge.
Even though he's a lot stronger, poor Kieran still doesn't quite seem to be over the fact that he was beaten during the battle for Ogerpon. It seems like just the sheer sight of Ogerpon is enough to get him into a flustered state, as Kieran actually has unique dialogue for the player if you send out the Pokemon during your battle with him, chastising you for using it when you know it's a touchy subject for him.
He's so flustered that he's absolutely stunned when Ogerpon enters the field, screaming at you for daring to use the Pokemon "NOW of all times". Those who enjoyed whooping Kieran's butt in the first DLC expansion were hoping that he would have some kind of comment to make should you use Ogerpon against him, and Nintendo more than delivered for the Kieran haters.
Similarly, Kieran's elder sister Carmine has also made the journey to Blueberry Academy, and also has a reaction when you use Ogerpon against her in battle. Fortunately, her reaction is a lot more wholesome and a lot less salty, as Carmine simply asks Ogerpon if it missed her after their escapades during the Teal Mask. When you're surrounded by Kieran, always attempt to be a Carmine.
Just like with the previous expansion, Indigo Disk is full of secret little references and nods to other games for longtime Pokemon fans, especially if you're a big fan of Pokemon Black & White. There are multiple references to the region of Unova, including remixed
