Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade’s revenue has just come in – and it’s pretty impressive. From the looks of it, the recent gacha game has reached around $10,000,000 within the first 7 days of release.
It might not sound overly surprising, especially because it’s a mobile game based on one of the most popular anime and manga franchises in recent years. But, Jujutsu Kaisen Phantom Parade’s revenue is only coming from the JP servers.
Yes, people outside of the country can access these servers with a VPN, but the majority of players will be from Japan. With a game being restricted to one region, $10,000,000 is a huge feat – not to mention how competitive the gacha sphere is these days.
A lot of gachas based on anime/manga series often fizzle out, but the huge success and popularity of Phantom Parade is proving different. I’m hoping this means we might see a global release around the corner!
