Star Citizen’s latest in-game ship package, Legatus, will cost as much as buying a brand-new car in 2023. Though the game is known to have overtly expensive ship packs and content bundles, this latest bundle takes the cake in terms of price tag.
While some people complain about the price of groceries rising in our day-to-day real lives, there are others who won’t bat an eyelash at the hefty amount of money needed for this new Star Citizen ship back. While the money goes directly into new developments for the game itself, it does make one wonder how many players have actually purchased this new package.
One Reddit thread has made a meme of this price tag with one comment talking about how they should just “charge it to their company credit card” and use it as a tax write-off. Other comical comments include the game package being an instant divorce button, as well as one that states they’ll “take three.”
So, what does the bundle come with to carry such a price? Players who do choose to take the leap and make the purchase will get 175 vessels from ‘every manufacturer of note’ within the game. The package also contains a laundry list of paints, clothes, upgrades, posters, skins, and more.
