A Stardew Valley player was having a very lucky day, only for it to all be ruined by a simple mistake involving bombs. The Stardew Valley gameplay clip is evoking sympathy from fellow fans who have likely experienced something similar at least once in the game.
Stardew Valley features a wide variety of tools and weapons for the player to use in the depths of the mines of the game. While the majority of Stardew Valley can be played without combat, mines and Wilderness Farms do have enemies that will attack the player on-sight. Bombs can be used to rapidly destroy rocks, speeding up the chance of finding good items and a stairway to the next level of the mines. In a pinch, they can also be used to destroy enemies. However, misusing them can cause some major problems for the player, especially once they set foot onto their farm.
Stardew Valley player MysticMarbles shared a gameplay clip on the game's subreddit lamenting their mistake after a particularly lucky day. Prior to the clip, the player had collected several Dragon Teeth to use toward creating an island obelisk that lets the player teleport to Ginger Island directly. The clip shows the player running through a chicken coop as they collect processed mayonnaise. After collecting everything, the player mistakenly switches to their second hot bar, setting down several Mega Bombs. The player realizes their mistake a split second later, turning to look at the bombs before pausing the game in a panic.
At this point, the player had two main options — let the bombs explode, destroying nearly everything in the chicken coop, or restart the day, losing their progress prior to the mistake. Unfortunately, MysticMarbles chose the latter option, only realizing after the fact that it
