A talented artist drew all the versions of Raiden Mei from every HoYoverse game that she's part of. HoYoverse previously confirmed that it's creating a multiverse, where alternate versions of characters could exist in its other video game universes.
Longtime HoYoverse fans have noticed how Honkai Impact 3rd, Genshin Impact, and Honkai: Star Rail are interconnected, mostly because they share similar characters. An example of this is Bronya, who first appeared in Honkai Impact 3rd and is now a fixture in Honkai: Star Rail. Although they have the same name and are also adopted, both versions have slightly differing backgrounds.
With the release of Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.0, Galaxy Ranger Acheron was introduced, who is an alternate version of Honkai Impact 3rd's Raiden Mei and Genshin Impact's Raiden Shogun. Twitter user shinemm_a drew all three versions of the character with the labels «Archon» (Raiden Shogun), «Herrscher» (Raiden Mei), and «Emanator» (Acheron). Their artwork also showcased the characters' long dark purple hair and purple-pink eyes, which are the signature attributes of the «Mei-verse.»
Many HoYoverse fans appreciated how shinemm_a was able to showcase the distinct appearances of Raiden Mei, Raiden Shogun, and Acheron in their artwork. The women of the «Mei-verse» all wield swords and have lightning-based abilities. However, they have differing backgrounds that make them stand out from each other.
Honkai: Star Rail's main story in Penacony is still unfinished, and it's expected to continue until Version 2.2. So far, many players are invested in the Penacony arc's direction, especially the mystery of who's a good or bad person among the new characters, including Acheron.
HoYoverse's multiverse is an interesting way to inject existing characters into old and new titles, while also giving them new life. Players can definitely expect more crossovers in Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Genshin Impact in the future.
