How Was Final Fantasy 16's State of Play Showcase? | Push Square
You might already be sold on Final Fantasy XVI, but Sony and Square Enix still felt it necessary to put on a State of Play livestream all about the PS5 RPG. With a roughly half-an-hour deep dive into combat, exploration, and more the focus of the show, no other games were included in the event.
Final Fantasy fans will have tuned in for more news surrounding the June 2023 game, though, so we want to know what your thoughts were on the State of Play. Does the combat still look fast and flashy? Do you like the look of exploration in towns and outside of them? And what about those Eikons? Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.

I thought it looked pretty darn incredible. With this and the Tears of the Kingdom trailer earlier it has been some Thursday
Absolutely loved it. I was already sold on the game and didn't need to see any more of it, but that gameplay was outstanding. I think after this I'll be on media blackout, but yeah, this was Excellent in my view. It looks next level epic, and so we'll put together.
I booked my days off for it today. It feels like the good old PS1 days and I'm getting hyped for FF IX to come out. Can't wait.
