From the beginning of the game, Technology Points in are used for basic survival needs in its monster-hunter survival arc. They are a source of progression alongside your level, which helps with certain buildings and catching materials. Depending on the time and place of the game, these Technology Points can be very useful. Regardless, obtaining them quickly is very important to get stronger.
Technology Points in can be used from the Technology Points tab on the Inventory screen. This generally can be opened by hitting the Tab key on the keyboard or theMenu Button on a controller. The points can be placed into different structures or tools only when the proper number of points is placed into the tab. These Technology Points are also gated by level, so you will not be able to make certain tools, such as Lifmunk's Submachine Gun right away.
There are only a few ways to get Technology Points in The first and fastest way would be through leveling up. This can be done by catching multiple of the same Pals of the Paldeck or just catching any creatures overall. Doing menial tasks such as resource hunting and getting wool in will also reward EXP. The second way to get Technology Points is through discovery, unlocking fast travel statues to help you get around the map.
An extra EXP reward is given to players that catch 10 of the same type of Pal in the Paldeck.
Alongside the Technology Points tab in the menu are Ancient Technology Points. These extra points unlock unique recipes for tools, structures, and other items that further enhance your character, Pals, or base. These can be obtained from defeating the world bosses known as Alpha Pals. After finishing the battle, whether you catch or kill the creature, a pop-up in purple will reward the player with an Ancient Technology Point. In the early game, YouTuber ConCon recommends continuously defeating the Alpha Pal Chillet, as it is the lowest level Alpha Pal to defeat.
