Experience gain in Diablo 4 can be earned in many ways; from killing enemies, completing quests, running dungeons, or participating in any of the various World Events. While completing these activities to level up is great, it can always be better! Some of the most common ways to increase experience gains are through consuming a potion to gain a 5% experience buff, playing near others for a 5% gain (or 10% if you're in the same party), and increasing your World Tier difficulty.

This enemy scaling issue is why completing the Campaign before level 50 is so important.
Enemies in World Tier I and II don't scale past level 50, so players will eventually gain less experience if they spend too much time in these World Tiers.
