Supergiant has finally released in early access, and players familiar with the franchise will not be surprised to see that Nectar, a resource from the previous game, has returned. This golden liquid is a rarity in the Crossroads and the land underneath, so it's important to know what it does, where to spend it, and what you'll get for collecting it. Nectar can be found in a few places, but no matter where you find it, it will come at a cost.
follows Melinoë, the younger sister to ' protagonist, Zagreus. Upon entering the game, players discover that Cronos, the Titan of Time, has ransacked the Underworld and that some unknown but terrible fate has befallen Hades, Persephone, and Zagreus. Now, Melinoë must fight her way into the Underworld to save her father's kingdom with the (mostly moral) support of the Gods, Goddesses, and beings she meets along the way.
Hades is known for its outstanding single player experience, but Hades 2 could unite the Underworld siblings in an epic co-op experience.
In, Nectar's primary use is as a gift to the various characters Melinoë interacts with throughout her time in the Crossroads and the Underworld. It's a relatively rare resource, meaning you should be wise about spending it, though it's better spent than left sitting in your inventory.
To spend it, select the "" option that appearsbefore talking to some characters. When you choose it, your inventory will open up, and any item you have that is giftable will appear in color. You should select Nectar, if you have it, and give it to whomever you're talking to.
You can give gifts whenever the prompt is there, meaning you can evengift Nectar to the deities whose Boons you collect, with more Gods potentially coming to Before picking up the Boon, keep an eye out for the Gift option.
When they receive the Nectar, you will see an icon of a heart with a plus sign to the left of it, indicating that your relationship with that character has improved.
