Grand Theft Auto 6's first trailer has gone down as one of the best in recent memory, racking up millions of views in the first week, becoming one of the fastest-viewed YouTube videos of all time. With a trailer that iconic, you know full well that it's going to be recreated in some capacity, and GTA fans are passing the time until GTA 6's release by trying to recreate the trailer in as many other Rockstar games as physically possible.
We'll start with one of the easiest, yet most impressive, and that's the trailer's recreation in GTA 5 by YouTuber Rey. It's a startlingly accurate recreation, including memorable shots such as the sweeping view of the city in the intro, the woman in the bikini who may or may not be main character Lucia, and the threatening old lady with the hammers.
For the scenes in which they weren't able to get the necessary characters, they've done some impressive thinking outside the box. For example, instead of having the alligator walking into the store like in the GTA 6 trailer, they have footage of a man being mauled by a cougar. They've even managed to edit together a social media app just like the GTA 6 trailer to capture some of the more Los Santos-flavored weirdness.
Next up, we have Mistor78, who has overcome some pretty massive technical challenges to do a recreation of the GTA 6 trailer with GTA 4. While not as accurate, mostly down to Los Santos and Vice City being two very different locations, Mistor78 has still managed to nail the tone, while throwing in some scenes from the GTA 6 trailer that have been recreated pretty well.
