Pocketpair has just released a new Palworld Patch for PC, packing countermeasures against cheating and bug fixes.
The new patch is available now via Steam (version 0.1.3.0), and the Xbox Series patch (version 0.1.1.2) will be rolled out as soon as it's ready. As said, this minor patch includes bug fixes, including a fix for an issue where the game's loading screen did not end when logging into the game world. In addition, the patch addresses a bug where the world date was not displayed correctly and appeared to reset. Additionally, this update includes countermeasures against exploits and various cheats on the game's official servers.
"Currently, some players have been confirmed to be cheating on the official server," the developer wrote earlier today. "We will apply a patch as soon as it is ready, but it is currently difficult to completely prevent all cheating immediately."
Pocketpair added, "We will continue to focus even more on security and aim to create an environment where everyone can play with peace of mind. We sincerely apologize to all players who have been affected by this incident."
We've included the post on X from the official Palworld X account containing the release notes below:
As covered earlier today, Pocketpair's hit title has already sold over 8 million copies worldwide on Steam alone since its early-access release last week. With the success of the game, the Pokécom Company has issued a statement stating that it is "investigating" the game. "We intend to investigate and take appropriate measures to address any acts that infringe on intellectual property rights related to the Pokémon. We will continue to cherish and nurture each and every Pokémon and its world, and work to bring the world together through Pokémon in the future."
Palworld is available for PC and Xbox Series (through Game Pass) now.
