It sounds as though production on has been smooth, as the Marvel Cinematic Universe series’ reshoots were done ahead of schedule.
A new report from The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that the reshoots for Agatha: Darkhold Diaries were apparently finished much faster than usual. According to the report, Marvel Studios usually budgets five days into its schedule for reshoots, while Darkhold Diaries took only one day. The outlet’s sources note that the studio has a “sunny outlook” for the series internally, partially fueled by the speedy reshoots.
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries hails from head writer and director Jac Schaeffer, who is also serving as an executive producer along with Kevin Feige. Joining Kathryn Hahn are Emma Caulfield Ford and Debra Jo Rupp, who are reprising their roles as Westview residents from WandaVision.
The series will also introduce a new batch of MCU newcomers, including Aubrey Plaza, Joe Locke, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, and Patti LuPone, with Locke rumored to be the male lead and LuPone set to play Sicilian witch Lilia Calderu. LuPone also previously confirmed that the series will feature several musical numbers from Agatha All Along songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.
