Gamers can get their hands on The Evil Within until October 26 as part of the giveaways on the Epic Games Store. On the other hand, its sequel, The Evil Within 2, will be available as a freebie starting October 26 until November 2.
Announcing these free games, the official account of Epic Games posted on X, “Story-driven puzzle game or pure survival horror? No need to choose, Eternal Threads and The Evil Within are BOTH free this week!”
The Evil Within is a survival horror published by Bethesda Softworks and developed by Tango Gameworks. It puts you in the shoes of Krimson City Police Detective Sebastian Castellanos who, along with three other cops, gets involved in an investigation for mass murder. However, Sebastian instead comes face to face with a powerful force who knocks him unconscious and kills his peers. Upon waking up, Sebastian finds himself in a twisted world where he must survive hideous creatures and find his way out.
The Evil Within is usually priced at Rs. 1179 but can be grabbed for free until October 26.
