The new Pixel 9 CAD-based renders are here, and they show the phone in various colors. And while we cannot really confirm if these will be the colors the phone will be available in, the renders give us a better idea of how the phone is going to look.
Now, the Pixel 9 video that we have shows the device in pink, yellow, black, and green colors. The design is more or less as accurate as it can be. You can have a look at how the phone looks in the video below, and then we will continue breaking down what we have found in the design.
As you can see in the video above, the Pixel 9 series comes with flatter sides, and more importantly, the phone has rounded corners. It is a departure from its predecessor, but this design choice should make the phone better when it comes to ergonomics.
The base Pixel 9 is said to come with a small 6.03-inch screen, and the dimensions are around 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5mm (12mm with the camera bump. The phone will be running on Google's Tensor G4 and will boot Android 15 out of the box. That is what we know about the device.
Another interesting thing that you should know about is that this year, Google is planning on releasing three Pixel 9 devices. The base variant that you can see in the video above will have a Pro variant, and then there will be a Pro XL variant. The base and the Pro variant are said to be the same in terms of dimensions, with the Pro XL variant featuring a larger battery and larger screen and possibly some other changes.
I am really looking forward to the Pixel 9 series and seeing what Google has to offer this time around. The phones should be delivering a much better performance than last year's and have a boatload of AI-related features. Google has a chance to truly create something robust.
