Blizzard is bringing back the original 6v6 matches to , but some fans are a bit concerned about team compositions getting old very quickly. While the 6v6 mode has been highly requested for quite some time now, the reactions from fans to the classic feel of making a comeback is a mixed bag of emotions.
The original title sported 6v6 battles, but after a lot of complaints and issues with the team compositions, the developers decided to introduce 5v5 instead once launched. While this new arcade game mode is only available for three weeks, starting on November 12, some fans are hoping it sticks around as a permanent arcade mode. Other players are worried about the new mode, as Mery's Mass Resurrection and teams filled with 5 Roadhogs could cause mass chaos.
The Classic Arcade mode will bring back the original 21 heroes, the 12 maps fans came to love — and hate — from the title, and the extremely chaotic gameplay with a total of 12 players battling it out head-to-head.

Character abilities were overhauled in their entirety in, which for some fans was a good thing. Each of the old abilities will be back during the limited-time event, but the developers are saying that this is not meant to just be around for a «limited-time». According to PCGamesN, Game director Aaron Keller states that the team is «not planning for this to be a single event.» This mode is meant to test the waters and get player feedback, all while ensuring the base title remains as is.
