Forever Entertainment has confirmed that Front Mission 2: Remake will be released on even more platforms from April 30th. The game will be available on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. Front Mission 2 Remake was a timed exclusive for Nintendo Switch, releasing in June last year.
This HD remake is of the classic turn-based JRPG that originally launched on PlayStation in Japan in 1997. While subsequent Front Mission series games were released in North America and Europe, and the original game made its way West on Nintendo DS in 2007 after a port from Super Famicom to PlayStation, Front Mission 2 remained exclusive to Japan. A new free camera will allow you to look around and zoom right in on the Wanzers as you’re planning your next moves.
Front Mission 3: Remake is also in the works – this game having been the first in the series with a worldwide release. There’s no timeline for Front Mission 3’s release, and that game is being remake by a third development team, MegaPixel Studio.
