Legends of Aria Classic is preparing for its May 9th launch, but before then, everyone has a chance to see what the revamped ‘back to 2019’ MMORPG is like by participating in the open beta starting today.
Citadel Studios recently announced their relaunched MMORPG using their 2019 pre-Steam Early Access ruleset as the foundation of the release. This will be a subscription MMORPG where everything is earned through gameplay, there will be 30 days to access the game free before the $9.99 subscription kicks in. New accounts who login after the initial 30-day period will also get a 7-Day trial with some restrictions.
The open beta forLegends of Aria Classic is now live, set to run through midnight Eastern on May 7th. After the test ends, the servers will be wiped and prepared for the official launch on Thursday, the 9th.
If you are new to the game or if you have been in Celador before, the team is looking for you. They need a round of final feedback to see how things are going from new players and even from those who experienced the 2019 ruleset the first time around.
In a post on Steam announcing the beta has gone live, They talk about wanting a wide variety of feedback and lay out their goals in launching as a subscription-based model.
There were several overhauls and potential pivots on the way here, and all of this puts the efforts into Legend of Aria Classic into perspective. Citadel is working with a stated effort to listen to the community and maintain a fair environment with a transparent development focus on players.
