Stay Frosty with Helldivers 2's Polar Patriots Warbond, Arriving May 9
mmorpg.comArrowhead Games appears to be settling into a roughly monthly cadence when it comes to Helldivers 2’s Warbonds, its version of no FOMO battle passes.
Not even a month since the Democratic Detonation Warbond dropped, Arrowhead has announced the imminent arrival of a new Warbond titled Polar Patriots. Let’s see how long they can keep up the alliterative titles.
As its name would imply, the Polar Patriots Warbond features an icy theme. As usual, it comes with the requisite trio of new armor sets, capes, banners, weapons, and emotes.
The three new primary weapons included in the Warbond are the AR-61 Tenderizer, the SMG-72 Pummeler, and the PLAS-101 Purifier. Of particular note are the SMG and Purifier, the former offering a new one handed option perfect for ballistic shield enjoyers and the latter looks like it packs a serious punch.
Another interesting piece of gear is the new ‘Motivational Shocks’ booster, which may help players deal with the game’s many slow effects by “shocking Helldivers back into action.”
The G-13 Incendiary Impact is a new grenade that explodes on impact and ignites things in a fairly large radius.
