The upcoming Ghost of Tsushima PC port won't require players to create a PSN account when playing the game's single-player mode.
Yesterday we reported that Helldivers 2 PC players will soon need to create and link a PSN account to keep playing the game. Although this was already communicated back in January of this year, making PSN mandatory for PC players after three months has caused quite some controversy with the game now harvesting bad reviews on Steam. Another upcoming PlayStation PC game that mentions the need for a PSN account is Nixxes' upcoming Ghost of Tsushima for PC.
Luckily for those who are worried about this mandatory PSN account linking - this is only required for the game's single-player mode. The official X account of developer Sucker Punch Productions confirmed as much some hours ago by stating that a PSN account is only required for the Legends multiplayer mode. In addition, a PSN account is required to use the PlayStation Overlay.
We're pretty sure that PC players waiting for the amazing Ghost of Tsushima will be happy with this confirmation from Sucker Punch. Ghost of Tsushima for PC launches later this month on May 16. We've included the game's official PC requirements below:
