Free to Play Fantasy MMO Villagers & Heroes Suffers Ongoing Server Issues and Offers Compensation
For fans of Villagers and Heroes , there was a bit of a lull period due to a Data Center issue, but luckily those affected got a bit of good news because of the quick but slightly annoying server issue.
On Sunday January 14, 2024, the developers mentioned that the Data Center was having a bit of trouble and it caused all servers to go down for a short time . Though the server issues were quick, the devs wanted to make things right with those who were unable to login during that time and offer some form of rewards the following day, as they posted,
“Thank you all for your patience while the servers were down! The issue has now been resolved. For the next 24 hours, all players upon logging in, will receive special compensation goodies available on one character per account. Thank you again for your patience and support during this episode!”

The MMORPG was just updated last month for the holiday season, bringing new mounts, outfits, festive Homestead items, and even a clever event zone titled Grinchta’s Lair. The mounts included an Arctic Fox, Northern Lights Fox, and Red Fox, which can all be found within the in-game shop. Alongside the mounts in the shop were holiday patterns galore, several outfits for players to customize their appearance to feel as holly and jolly as possible, and decorations to make their Homesteads feel a little more… Homey!
The developers also threw in a few raid improvements and bug fixes, as well as improved performance within the Fungal Caverns of Basido. For those who were attempting to get the Fabled gear, the drop chance has been doubled in order to help those add to their collection just a little bit easier.
Just prior to the server outage, Mad Otter Games rolled out a hotfix, and by the end of the week, one of the servers that runs the game had a disk crash, resulting in all servers going offline. The developers stated that no data had been lost during the downtime, and on January 15th, 2024, the
